About Me
I’m a Nottingham based artist with a love for nature. The outdoors is my biggest inspiration, this can be seen throughout most of my artwork. There is an emphasis on capturing the delicate details and vibrant colours of stunning landscapes and the beautiful wildlife I see.
I travel around the UK whenever I get the chance, often escaping to the Peak District, exploring the different environments and watching the various birds from buzzards to lapwings. What I love about being Nottingham based is the little pockets of nature that can be found around the city. If you’re from Notts you may recognise a few spots in my paintings!
Our strongest bond to nature and animals often begins with our pets, which is why I love to capture people’s furry friends both big and small in portraits. Painting peoples pets and incorporating their personalities on a canvas allows the owner to capture special moments to cherish every day.
My painting style explores colour more freely, exaggerating tones I see in animal's features often contrasting a bold background leading to eye-catching results. I really enjoy playing around with my art and allowing my life to influence the directions I take. I continue to learn about myself and experimenting with processes weather that be mixed media or digital illustration.
New hobbies often begin influencing my artwork too. I’ve begun exploring portraits and depictions of performers, such as fire breathers and pole dancers, capturing the dramatic movements and striking acrobatics.
